NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old student and model, identified as Muskan, was allegedly stabbed to death inside her apartment in New Delhi, with police suspecting her gym trainer in connection with the killing.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place in the Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi while Muskan was alone in her second-floor apartment. The suspected attacker allegedly entered the residence, attacked her with a knife and fled the scene.
Neighbours reportedly rushed to the apartment after hearing Muskan’s screams and found her seriously injured. She was taken to a hospital but later died from her injuries.
Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspected attacker. Investigators are also examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area in an effort to establish the sequence of events and identify the suspect’s movements.
A friend of the victim said Muskan was the youngest of three sisters. According to reports, she managed to contact her elder sister during her final moments and asked her to come home and take her to hospital.
Family Raises Allegations Against Gym Trainer
Indian media reports said Muskan’s sisters alleged that the gym trainer had previously harassed her and had also attempted to harm her in the past.
The allegations have led investigators to focus on the gym trainer as a key suspect in the case. Police are continuing efforts to locate and arrest the suspect while examining evidence gathered during the investigation.
Authorities have yet to complete the investigation, and further details are expected as police establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
